About this site:
Regenia Bailey is a member of the Iowa City City Council for District C and currently serves as the Mayor of the City. This site is intended to help keep you up to date about what Regenia is thinking, and vice-versa. The opinions expressed are hers, and are not intended to represent the opinions of the City Council as a whole.
City Manager Search

We will interview city manager candidates on Thursday, April 24.  A public meet and greet will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Friday, April 25 in Meeting Room A at the Iowa City Public Library.  The public is encouraged to attend and meet the candidates.


Candidates are:

  • Paul Beecher, former city manger of Kingman, AZ
  • A.J. Johnson, city administrator of Muscatine, IA
  • Michael Lombardo, former county administrator of Allegan County, MI
Residents are encouraged to provide input to the City Council regarding the candidates.  Comment forms are available in the City Hall Lobby, 410 E. Washington Street or on the City's website.  All comments must be received by 3 p.m. on Friday. 


Meeting to Discuss Snow Removalflowers in my yard

Now that the winter is behind us, it's time to start thinking about next year!       
The Council will have a special work session on Wednesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. in Emma Harvat Hall at City Hall to discuss snow removal.  Although this is a work session, we will provide an opportunity for public comments and questions about snow removal.
